Landscaping & Maintenance

The creation or maintenance of a landscape will vary depending on the requirements of our clients, it often involves work from many of our service headings.
  • Landscape restoration of top soils and can include reseeding, tree and hedge planting, wetland creation, wet woodland planting, lake creation and reed planting.
  • General landscaping including tree and shrub planting, turfing and seeding works.
  • Mulching using bark mulch or woodchip to suppress weeds together with improving moisture retention and nutrient enhancement.
  • Mowing, strimming and brushcutting a variety of landscapes, using various equipment including our remote control Green Climber on large slopes, bunds and banks for safety. Strimming and brushcutting is regularly used in areas inaccessible by machine or for habitat preservation.
  • Hedge cutting can be carried out by hand in accessible areas or by side arm flailing with our large agricultural tractor. We also use a compact tractor and side arm for smaller areas.
  • Weed control around young trees and newly planted hedgerow is required as well as for  ongoing maintenance.   We can selectively spray broadleaf weeds including nettles, dock leaves, thistles etc. using a knapsack in smaller areas. Alternatively we can carry out large agricultural boom spraying. We can also control a variety of invasive species including Japanese Knotweed, Himalayan Balsam and Giant Hogweed using chemical treatment, digging out and removal.
  • Seeding works are undertaken from wildflower to agricultural seeding.
  • Boundary Inspections can be performed providing reports, photos and recommendations.
  • Land Clearance can be carried out on a large scale using mechanical equipment or low impact clearance on more sensitive sites by hand, ensuring habitats are not disturbed.
  • Quarry Maintenance is varied and involves works from many of our SERVICES headings. Our excellent health and safety record is vital when working in these environments and we possess vast experience working on quarry sites for our clients.
