Landscaping and Maintenance – Planters, Benches and More

Quarry Entrance Transformation: A Glow Up

We’re excited to share the recent improvements carried out at the entrance of our customers quarry site. With significant meetings coming up and important visitors due they tasked us with transforming this overgrown, unwelcoming entrance into an inviting and tidy gateway for both visitors and staff.

A Greener Welcome

The entrance was long overdue a facelift, so we begun by planting a variety of shrubs and bushes. Species were chosen that required minimal maintenance, perennials for immediate colour, and evergreens for year round interest. Plants were also chosen to support wild life with Hebe, Lavender and Salvia attracting bees, moths, butterflies, insects and other pollinators. Whilst Mahonia, Cotinus and Acer all provide year round colour, interest and habitat.

Installation of Raised Planters and Benches

To further enhance the space, raised planters were installed and filled with a similar mix of perennials and evergreens. These planters not only add a burst of colour but also create a welcoming entrance area.

We also added several benches, providing space for employees and visitors to take a moment to enjoy the surroundings. Whether for a quick rest or a lunch break, these seating areas offer the perfect spot to appreciate the newly planted area.

General Maintenance and Clean-Up

In addition to the new installations, the team carried out essential maintenance work. Mowing the grass, trimming hedges and removing overgrown weeds helped redefine the space, giving it a much neater and more polished appearance. The hedge cutting was especially important, as it improved visibility for vehicles entering and leaving the quarry, enhancing safety while maintaining a green border around the site.
